From trainee to trainer
At Kiekert, we focus primarily on diverse internal training. As a former apprentice, Sven W. now supports our young talents as a trainer when they start their careers.
What has your career at Kiekert been like?
Sven W.: I started at Kiekert in 2017 as an apprentice IT specialist for application development. Even during my training, I was able to take responsibility for complex software development projects and make decisions quite independently. I became passionate about my work, which is still the case today. In addition, my interest in sharing and passing on my knowledge became more and more apparent. I supervised working students, interns, and trainees during and after my apprenticeship. When the opportunity came up to train as a trainer, it was the only logical decision for me.
What motivates you in this role?
Sven W.: I want to pass on my knowledge and inspire young talent for Kiekert. It is important for me to support the continuous growth and development of my colleagues and to provide them with the best possible training. I also enjoy learning from the trainees.
What makes working at Kiekert special for you?
Sven W.: There are many things, but the good cooperation with my colleagues and the freedom to implement projects inspire me daily. Over the years, I have also made a few friends in the company, and I can say that I enjoy going to work.
What are you looking forward to in the future at Kiekert?
Sven W.: I’m particularly looking forward to getting my apprentices and students through their final exams and welcoming them as new team members. It’s great to see how much talent and potential there is in our young talent. Together, we will continue to move Kiekert forward in the future.
